Reign is one of our most highly anticipated new series set to premiere October 10th. Reign is the story of Mary Stuart and her journeyicon1 Meet the Royal Court from The CWs “Reign” to become Mary, Queen of Scots (for more info about Reign, click here). You have seen the promos and heard our rave reviews, but what do you know about the cast?

Adelaide Kane

Adelaide Kane was born in Western Australia and has been acting since she was six. She won her first major role in 2006 when she played “Lolly” Allen on Neighbours by entering the Dolly Magazine Competition. When she got the role, she and her family moved from Perth to Melbourne, where Neighbours is filmed; she was a junior in high schoolicon1 Meet the Royal Court from The CWs “Reign” at the time. When Adelaide is not acting, she enjoys singing and singing lessons. Adelaide starred in the suspense film, The Purge, that came out this summer. Adelaide Kane plays Mary Queen of Scotts in Reign.

Toby Regbo

Toby Regbo was born in London, England. His interest in acting started with plays in school and, when he was old enough, he attended Young Blood Theatre Company. Toby started his acting career in 2006 doing episodes in certain shows and some small roles in movies. His biggest role to date was in a science fiction drama, Mr. Nobody, which premiered in 2009. He also played young Albus Dumbledore in the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows – Part I.Toby Regbo plays Prince Francis on Reign.

Torrance Coombs was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. When he was younger, he joined the school choir to help him break out of his shell. He was soon cast in the role of Rum Tum Tugger in the musical play, Cats. He actually rented a video of Elvis Presley performing at one of his concerts to help prepare for the hip-shaking role! Torrance loved the theatre but he soon began to expand to television shows and film. He appeared in the TV shows The Tudorsand Heartland, and also in the short films The Familiar and Good Image Media. He was also in The CW show, Supernatural. Torrance Coombs plays Sebastian on Reign.

Anna Popplewell

Anna Popplewell was born in London, England. She began acting at the age of six when she took classesicon1 Meet the Royal Court from The CWs “Reign” at the Allsorts Drama School. She did some movies in her younger years including Mansfield Parkand Girl with a Pearl Earring. She attended college at Oxford University and studied English while continuing to keep her acting career alive. She is best known for her role as Susan in The Chronicles of Narnia film series. Anna Popplewell stars in Reign as Lola.

Alan Van Sprang

Alan Vanicon1 Meet the Royal Court from The CWs “Reign” Sprang was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is best known for playing Sir Francis Bryan in the series The Tudors and for appearing in the Living Dead  films of George A. Romero. He starred in ImmortalsSaw III, and Survival of the Dead. He was also in The CW show, The L.A. Complex. Alan Van Sprang  plays King Henry II inReign.

Out of all of the Pilots I have been able to see of the Fall and Spring shows premiering on The CW, Reign is definitely the one that stood out to me the most. I cannot wait for Reign to premiere in the fall, and I hope you are just excited as we are!
