10 Beauty Products You Can Find In Your Kitchen

There is no need to go out and spend a ton of money on beauty products when you can find many great uses for products already in your kitchen. It may seem weird but the options are endless, whether you are looking for something to use on your hair, skin or more.

Before you know it, you’ll be washing you hair in beer and cleaning your teeth with coconut oil. Take a look below and get see all the beauty benefits you can find with items from your kitchen.

1. Coconut oil

The options are endless with this product… it can be used to tame frizz, whiten/clean teeth, soften your skin, also it can easily be combined with other natural ingredients such as cinnamon and cocoa powder to create a cheap and efficient way to stay bronzed through this sweater weather. And that’s not all, not even close.

2. Corn starch

Can be used as a dry shampoo for blondes or as face finishing powder.

3. Cocoa Powder

Can be used as a dry shampoo for brunettes.

Also it’s packed with antioxidants that help repair skin.

You can use raw, brown or regular sugar as a scrub.

Sugar Scrub Recipe:

  • Mix 1 tbs warm honey
  • 1 tbs raw sugar
  • (you may need to add a little water)

5. Apple Cidar Vinegar

Apple Cidar Vinegar is a great treatment for your hair, it can remove product buildup and dandruff and it will leave your hair soft, smooth, and shiny.

Simply mix equal parts ACV and warm water and apply the mixture after shampooing, then condition as usual.

If your hair is starting to look a bit dull, get out a bottle of beer and massage the liquid into your head while washing your hair.

Here’s how to do it: Bring the beer to room temperature and shampoo your hair with your regular shampoo and rinse as usual. Then massage the beer on to your hair, rinse out and condition as usual.

7. Sea salt

Whether your skin is dry or oily, you can always keep it bright and beautiful with sea salt.

You can use sea salt as a natural exfoliator. The texture of this salt helps remove the upper layer of dead skin cells and reveal a fresh one underneath that. It’s really great for feet and hand calluses.

Mint and Sea Salt Foot Scrub Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 cups sea salt
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 3 drops spearmint essential oil

Rub the mixture on your feet, scrubbing well, making sure to get your heels. Wait for a few minutes, then rinse and enjoy!

8. Avocado

Avocados are rich in healthy fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that can improve your skin from the inside. Avocado hydrates and nourishes skin without irritation.

Recipe:

  • 1/2 soft avocado
  • 2 tbs hot water
  • 1 tsp honey

Mash the avocado with a fork or mixer. Dissolve the honey into the water then add to the mashed avocado mixture and mix all ingredients together.

You may already love lemons but you’re going to love them even more when you hear all the great things they can do for your skin and hair, they have a range of beauty benefits.

Skin-

  • Black-head treatment (simply slice a lemon and rub on your face)
  • Skin brightener (Lemons are rich in vitamin C and citric acid, so they can help brighten and lighten your skin when used over time.)
  • Shine eliminator (Lemon is great for reducing excess oil.)

Egg whites are great for tightening and toning skin. It works wonders for greasy skin as it helps shrink large pores on the skin surface.

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice
