A zombie morgue worker might be a character that’s difficult for people to connect with (I mean I don’t know about all of you, but I’m fairly alive). However, the CW11’s iZombie gives a dead girl a life with troubles in love, roommate issues, and a nagging mother. Everyone can relate to at least one of these. And some people get all three.
Not only is zombie Liv dealing with both the problems of the living and the cravings of the undead, but also solving murders. The show, iZombie, mixes the tried and true genre of police procedural and the new king of horror; zombies (sorry vamps, but even the CDC worries about these moaning and groaning professional shufflers).
The show captures the best of its two genres; the edge of your seat fear of a potential zombie outbreak and the sweet feeling of justice being served. It also brings about the question: would I look as good as Liv with white hair?
The zombies haven’t invaded Seattle yet (though there some suspiciously pale people hanging around…but those might just be the editors), so it’s about time the very alive heroes of the CW got some attention with The Flash.
P.S. Don’t forget to catch iZombie on Tuesdays at 9PM!
