Newly opened in late 2011, Woodsky’s is a ski/snowboard-themed bar in the Fremont district. It features a unique type of drinking game to its patrons––goldfish racing. For a small entrance fee, interested participants can choose a goldfish, name it whatever they wish, and then race it down a water trough for prizes. The entrant who picks the best name for their goldfish wins a free shot, and whoever wins the goldfish race wins all entrance fees. Woodsky’s also offers a live DJ with dancing on weekends, a variety of beers, liquors, Jell-O shots and homemade Italian foods.

Also known as “The New Bev,” this West Seattle bar is a favorite among locals for a number of reasons. First, it offers a vast selection of beers, including import drafts, microbrews and locally-brewed flavors. As an added bonus, Beveridge Place Pub also features a number of fun drinking and bar games on any given night. Patrons turn everyday board games like Scattergories into a memorable round of drinking and gaming. Finally, this bar is pet-friendly, so if your pooch is well-behaved, leash him and bring him along to interact with other patrons and their dogs.

Also opened in late 2011, Macleod’s Scottish Pub in Ballard offers a wide variety of ales, spirits and liquors, in addition to a fantastic menu of freshly made foods. Formerly a guitar shop, Macleod’s not only has a laid-back atmosphere, but also eye-pleasing architecture, as well. It is a two-story, triangle-shaped building with black-wrought iron accents throughout, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The upstairs of this bar features a comfortable couch and tables for a variety of drinking games, chess, card games and dominoes.
Kathy’s Pizza, Grill and Sports Bar

Kathy’s is a family-friendly and drinking game-friendly sports bar and grill in the North Seattle area. There is a separate restaurant area for families to dine, in addition to a full sports bar and lounge where weekly beer pong tournaments and trivia competitions are held. Outside is a private beer garden for patrons to relax in the fresh air or to hold a private party. Thursday nights are the most popular, as trivia begins at 8 p.m. and beer pong follows right after at 10 p.m. Thursday nights also offer $3 drink specials.

Located in Seattle’s University District since 1966, Dante’s is a popular nightclub, bar and restaurant with patrons of all ages. Dante’s features a weekly, cash-prize beer pong tournament for two-person teams of ladies, guys or coeds. Other perks of this three-story bar are its mechanical bull and the huge dance floor open every Thursday through Saturday.
