“The Selection” is based on Kiera Cass’ Young Adult novel of the same name and features labor-class girl (Yael Grobglas), who participates in a lottery for the arrogant Prince Maxon’s hand. Twenty-five girls compete and only one will win. In “The Selection,” King Clarkson tries to keep his son in line to preserve the future of the kingdom. He has a lot to be concerned about since enemy forces want to stop the Bachelor-like process of finding the new queen, which is aptly called The Selection.
